Get to know our story

The Firm commenced operations in 1993 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, through its founding partners, Jorge A. Zubieta y Landa and Gabriel Zubieta y Landa Ortiz, both of whom already possessed extensive experience in labor and employment counseling and litigation, as well as substantial knowledge of the employer, business, union, and governmental sectors. This expertise was acquired through their work in the private sector in Monterrey and in government and labor dispute resolution matters in Mexico City.

In January 1996, Iván Elizondo Gámez joined the Firm after serving with the Employers’ Confederation of Nuevo León (COPARMEX Nuevo León) and as an employer representative before the Local Conciliation and Arbitration Board of the State of Nuevo León. He was admitted as a partner in 2000.

In 2025, following years of professional growth and leadership within the Firm, Roberto C. González Ávila, Marco Marchand Aceves, and Gabriel Zubieta y Landa Corona were promoted to partners, representing the Firm’s next generation of leadership and further strengthening our practice.

Today, the Firm is comprised of more than 25 professionals, all experienced in Labor and Employment Law, providing legal services to more than 250 companies throughout Nuevo León, across Mexico, and internationally.

He has been a public official in the legal area of the municipality of San Pedro Garza García, N.L., and in the Government of the State of Nuevo León.
He has taught at different universities, and has been a speaker at multiple conferences, both in the private and public sectors.

He has held different positions in the National Association of Business Lawyers (ANADE) Chapter NL, including Coordinator of the Labor Committee.
